On the second day of school the students were challenged to think like engineers. Engineers work with many different types of materials and must design within the restrictions of a particular problem or project. In this activity the students were required to build the tallest freestanding structure possible with limited materials. The challenge classes had the goal of having the lostest cost per inch in the class.
The picture above was the tallest structure before it fell over.
